Hone your timing and street photography skills with Robin Davis, and each participant will receive a pocket field guide with tips and reminders of the key elements of artistic street photography. Come and join our Annual Springtime Revels in Macon, and make some amazing photographs with us!
The time of year has arrived when our eyes open anew, as every natural shade of green appears and blossoms are budding with their perfect geometries. The celebration of Spring is in full swing here, and we are poised with our cameras, ready to capture the pulse beat of this beautiful historic town.
We will travel 80 miles South of Atlanta to some of Robin’s favorite locations for antebellum architecture, remnants of long abandoned industries, stunning train track and cemetery views and street scenes evocative of eras past. The rolling hillscapes of the Piedmont give us interesting alignments and vistas, perfect for artistic compositions.
An additional component of this fun workshop with our photographic friends is an interesting overview of street photography, a consideration of it’s history, and the techniques we will be using to capture those fleeting perfect moments that make this type of photograph so compelling to the viewer.

“I’ve been enamored with Macon Georgia for many years and have visited there since I was a child. One thing that has remained the same is the great old architecture, and each time I go I’ve discovered something new.
Macon’s great scenery and rolling hilltop views offers us architectural and industrial elements, street photography and fully budded cherry trees with other natural forms as well. This is a heady mix for the creative photographer, and a compositional dream at the perfect time of year. When all of this comes together, we have an amazing photographic story told in pictures, a story about a place with a strong nostalgia not yet lost to history.”
